GRRReen debuts at San Diego IndieFest V

San Diego’s North Park neighborhood was rocking to the sounds of the fifth annual IndieFest on Saturday. We were there as sponsors of the Green Stage, and to show off our Ford F150 plug-in hybrid conversion (PHEV).

A plug-in hybrid Toyota Tacoma: See it Wednesday

We’ll be participating in the North County Business Showcase, March 11 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.

Stop by and see us — we’ll be sharing space with our friends at Sequoia Solar, and showing off the Toyota Tundra we recently converted to a plug-in hybrid for them.

Two Billion Cars… and very little corn ethanol

Daniel Sperling, co-author of “Two Billion Cars: Driving Towards Sustainability” and a professor of Civil Engineering and Environmental Science and Policy at UC Davis, was a guest on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart earlier this week to discuss the role of governmental policy in changing our car culture. Clearly he’s no fan of corn ethanol.

Here come the hybrids!

Plug In Hybrid, Inc. was among the participants in Saturday’s “Inauguration Parade West,” Saturday in Santa Monica. Andy Frank, Ph.D. of UC Davis, considered the father of plug in hybrid technology and co-inventor of the Plug In Hybrid, Inc. solution, rode in a converted Ford F150 with co-inventor John Wong.
