Our History

Lead-acid batteries power millions of smaller electric vehicles in the United States and around the world.

These batteries are short-lived, require frequent maintenance, and expose users to a toxic acid environment. For these reasons, millions of other small vehicles still run on gasoline.

It’s time for a better energy solution for smaller vehicles (both gas and electric) and other applications.

GRRReen was founded in 2009 to provide high-performance power management systems for various applications, including smaller electric vehicles.

Fleets of smaller electric vehicles are in daily use at thousands of public and private institutions, including, for example:

  • U.S. Department of Defense
  • Universities and colleges
  • Governmental entities
  • Golf courses
  • Airports
  • Hotel and entertainment venues
  • Retirement villages
  • Trams, people movers

Managers of these fleets have been frustrated by a sub-par level of performance that requires careful ongoing maintenance and frequent replacement of the batteries.

Managers of smaller electric vehicle fleets are asking for much more robust and reliable power-management solution.

GRRReen provides that solution — a state-of-the-art power management system, tailored to the specific application, delivering higher performance, at a lower total cost of ownership.
