Richard Earnest
With a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and a Master of Science degree from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, Calif., Richard Earnest is a highly decorated fighter pilot who completed more than 300 combat missions over three tours totaling 21 months in Vietnam. Earnest served as President and Chief Operating Officer of VM Software, which he grew from a $2 million to a $50 million company, and took the company public on the New York Stock Exchange. He also served as CEO of Peregrine Systems, Demax Software, Tudor Publishing, Data Critical Corporation, and Xperius, Inc. Earnest is currently a member of the Del Mar City Council and also serves as Deputy Mayor.
Sam Lev
From the NUMI joint venture between General Motors and Toyota, to the launch of the Saturn cars program and the development of the EV1, Sam Lev was a key player in numerous innovations at GM between 1985 and 2004. Prior to that, Lev worked with EDS at their Mesa, Ariz. proving grounds, leading teams in automotive testing and validation.
